A hometown guy, left for seven years after receiving his business degree for a corporate career, returned in 2004, to raise his family and in 2010 ran and was elected to city council to give his family and Welland a better future, one decision at a time. He continues to work in the private sector in small business & property management, with a combined corporate and small business career of 29 years. His 16 consecqutive years at Welland city council, provides the intimate knowledge of how local and regional goverment work. The city is at a time when it needs stable, straightforward leadership to deliver for Welland at city hall and the region. It needs honest, experienced leadership - That is McLeod and that is why he stepped up to be your MAYOR.

BORN IN WELLAND
My parents planted our roots in Welland in 1967, both teachers within Niagara. They built a bungalow on Montgomery Rd, where they raised 7 boys.
Attended Lloyd Rice school (now La boiete a soleil), Quaker Rd elementary school, Glynn A Green for French Immersion, Centennial High School, French Immersion program, Earned a degree in Business Adimistration from Brock University.
Working for Sears Canada had Tamara and I living in a few cities around Southern Ontario - then came home to Welland to start our family.
OUR FAMILY
Married to Tamara for 26 years. Our children Payton and Isaac grew up in Welland and embraced the city's strong French community - La Boite a Soleil, Nouvel Horizon, Franco Niagara, Welland Centennial Secondary (French Immersion).
Both of our children have chosen paths that are community facing.
Isaac has chosen to stay in Welland and attend Niagara College Paramedic program.
Payton completed her Honours Degree in Justice and Public Policy from Guelph University and started studying Law at Univeristy of Windsor.

Corporate experience Store/HQ/Regional/National Level: sales & retail management, purchasing, led 26 auto center region 390 employess - $40 Million, National Process Manager - 66 auto centres Sears Canada.
Small business experience at Konsept Construction, Provided management services to various construction service providers in the fields of welding, electrical, flooring & concrete repair) as well as property management.
